As an entrepreneur and as someone who helps people make that leap into Entrepreneurship, this statement caught my eye today “Don’t just think about it, act on it”.
According to Entreprenuer.com – action begets outcome.
Outcome begets more action. You can only build when you make a move…and momentum builds through action. So act! You can’t see the results until you overcome your fear of starting something and then begin to take the first step towards actually creating a new business, project or building the life you want. The only thing worse than failure is not starting.
There are too many people who want to stay in their comfort zone and take no action, but still complain of their current life. Don’t be one of these people. A single step gets you closer to your dream career. So, don’t discount the power of action no matter how small that first step is.
And keep in mind, you don’t have to quit your current job to act on your ideas. Figure out the best time outside your normal work hours to get something done. You don’t even have to do most things yourself. There are many options to outsource or get someone else involved.

My personal thoughts
I reflected back on the things I have “acted on” over the last 15 year. My life and the freedom I have would not be possible if I had just thought about buying a franchise vs investing into one. Yes, it was scary, but I was fortunate to have many successful entrepreneurs around me to encourage me. Many people who I work with are from corporate America and often are discouraged by their colleagues instead of encouraged. I have my thoughts on why, but that is a post for another day.
My take away
If you have thought about buying a business or a franchise, then talk with successful people who have done it and not people who have perfected the art of thinking about starting a business, yet have never taken the leap. I know hundreds of people who have taken the leap and would do it again, I would be happy to connect you with some of them.
