The craziness that was 2020 had people across all businesses and industries pivoting in desperate attempts to stay in stride with Coronavirus regulations. In the wave of closures and work-from-home orders, podcasting has found a huge foothold among business professionals everywhere. Podcasting provides an unprecedented intimacy and direct connection that allows people the opportunity to build relationships in niche markets.
The niche market that I am passionate about is franchising. The franchise community, in general, is one that looks out for the interests of others through camaraderie that is hard to find in the dog-eat-dog entrepreneurial world. Podcasting has added to the already relational field of franchising by allowing franchisees and franchisors (among others) to connect and learn from people who have gone before them on an easily accessible platform.
Like it or not, 2020 has changed the way business will be done for the foreseeable future. The new normal is something we are all trying to figure out. Here’s the good news: we will.
