A lot of people ask me why I became a Franchise Consultant. Here is the story:
It was 2011, and the opportunity to sell my first franchise business (Regional Development with Liberty Tax Service) presented itself.
I wasn’t looking to sell, but the offer was too good to turn down.
So I said yes!
My wife and I had one little girl (2 more planned), and we wanted to move closer to our family in South Dakota. So that is what we did.
We thought it was temporary, we figured we would move to Denver or some other major market within 6 – 12 months. But that never happened….
At 35 retirement wasn’t an option. I needed to find the next thing. Franchising was right for me, so I knew I wanted to stay in that lane.
So I started doing my research. In case you don’t know there are 1,000s of different franchise opportunities out there. I didn’t know which one was the right one.
Yes, I had experience in franchising, and I knew a lot of people who owned franchises. But most of those people were in the Liberty Tax Service system. They couldn’t help me.
I needed to figure out how to get inside information. I wanted to know more than what I could find on the internet.
That is when I first met with the founder of Franchoice.
Being a Franchoice broker has given me the opportunity to dig into more concepts then I can remember. During my 7 years as a franchise broker, I have invested in 5 of those franchise brands myself (Exactly what I wanted).
So what is it like to be a franchise consultant?
It is a ton of work!
It took me years of research, phone calls, and trips to get where I am today.
I have helped hundreds of people find a franchise opportunity that was right for them. I have also helped even more people determine that franchising wasn’t a good fit.
I am one of the most successful franchise consultants in the industry. I am not saying that to brag. But it is something that is important to understand.
Not all Franchise Consultants are created equally…
My track record and reputation give me credibility with franchisors. That credibility provides me access to information that isn’t available in a magazine or to your average consultant.
I am on a first name basis with a lot of Franchisors and Founders.
I have developed long term relationships with them that will last for the rest of my career and some longer.
They know when I connect them with a candidate that the person knows what they are getting in to. They aren’t going to be confused, unqualified, or mislead about the opportunity.
As the old saying goes, it isn’t what you know, but who you know.
I have access to the right “who” with access to the right “what.”
A lot of people I work with were like me when I discovered Franchoice. They want the inside scoop.
You don’t have to spend years developing relationships with Franchisors, doing research, and kissing a lot of toads.
That is what I am here for.
To make it easier to get access to me without having to book a call I created a closed Facebook Group.
You can join it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/franchisesecrets
This group is a work in progress. But over time it is going to be a place where I can provide insights, updates, and access to information that you won’t be able to get anywhere else.
This isn’t a place for me to “Sell” you on a concept. This is a place to provide value to the people I work with on scale.
If you are serious about finding your first, second, or third franchise investment. You need to join the group.
